Hypertensive Retinopathy: Types, Management

 Hypertensive retinopathy is a condition where prolonged high blood pressure damages the retina, the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye. This damage can lead to vision problems and, in severe cases, blindness. The severity of the condition is classified into four grades, ranging from mild narrowing of retinal arteries to optic disc swelling, indicating a medical emergency.
